ITV Racing Beverley & Carlisle Tips On Saturday 30th May: Three Trixie Selections

See my Beverley and Carlisle tips for Saturday 30th May where I’ll be combining four selections for an ITV Racing Trixie.

ITV Racing To Show NINE Races Live On Saturday 30th May 2026

It’s another busy weekend for the ITV Racing cameras as they head to Carlisle, Beverley and Chester.

Carlisle will host their first ever Group race as they inherit last week’s Lester Piggot Fillies’ Stakes.

It was due to be ran at Haydock last week, but got abandoned due to issues with the track. The fascinating 16-runner Silver Bowl also joins the card.

Haydock were also due to race again this weekend, but after their meetings were cancelled, Carlisle will now host two big races from that card as well.

Beverley have three races including some competitive handicaps whilst Chester have just the one.

See the full ITV Racing schedule below.

  • 1:30pm Carlisle – Betway Handicap (Class 2, 1m3f)
  • 1:45pm Beverley – Napoleons Casino Hull Handicap (Class 4, 1m2f)
  • 2:00pm Carlisle – Betway Reverence Handicap (Class 3, 6f)
  • 2:15pm Beverley – Hilray Needler Trophy EBF Fillies’ Conditions Stakes (Class 2, 5f)
  • 2:33pm Carlisle – Betway Achilles Stakes (Listed, 5f)
  • 2:48pm Beverley – Beverley Two Year Old Trophy EBF Conditions Stakes (Class 2, 5f)

  • 3:45pm Carlisle – Betway Silver Bowl Handicap (Class 2, 1m)

ITV Racing Beverley & Carlisle Tips On Saturday 30th May 2026

Check out my four selections below where I’ll be combining the picks for a WIN Trixie and level-stake singles.

1:30 Carlisle – Betway Handicap (Class 2, 1m3f): OPPORTUNITY

William Haggas might have found the perfect OPPORTUNITY for the favourite here.

The four-year-old was a big eye catcher in a decent Ascot handicap last time out and this slight drop down in trop should be fine.

It’ll also be his second run after being gelded so I’d say he’ll come on plenty for his seasonal reappearance.

He was running in decent races as a three-year-old last year and looks to have a class edge over his rivals in Carlisle’s opener.

I liked the way he stayed on from the back after racing keenly early on last time out. Should be suited to the stiff finish at this track.

2:33pm Carlisle – Betway Achilles Stakes (Listed, Class 1): WASHINGTON HEIGHTS

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS is worth chancing here down in grade after things didn’t go his way in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes at Newmarket a few weeks ago.

He was racing on the wrong side of the track for the most part of the race and once his group merged over, the winner Night Raider was already away and gone.

The form of that race is good, considering Night Raider followed up in Group 2 company last weekend.

He was beaten only six lengths, finishing eighth and I think things can go better now back in calmer waters.

My selection is also the only course and distance winner in the field, even if you have to go back to his maiden win as a two-year-old in 2022.

He’s battle hardened and I think this belated return to Carlisle makes him an attractive bet. Unbeaten at Listed level so he’s the one to beat for me.

2:48pm Beverley – Beverley Two Year Old Trophy (Class 2): THE DANCING PIRATE

THE DANCING PIRATE ran in a hot novice at Newmarket on Guineas weekend and the form of that is starting to stack up.

He finished fourth that day and like plenty of Andrew Balding’s horses, there’s a strong chance he’ll fare better on his second start.

The third, fifth and sixth have all come out and won their next start, so I’m expecting the same for The Dancing Pirate.

Andrew Balding has won two of the last four renewals and I think he has another on his hands here.

That completes my ITV Racing Beverley and Carlisle tips.

Trixie Tips For ITV Racing From Carlisle & Beverley On 30/05/26

I’ll be playing a £2.50 trixie (total £10.00), and if all selections come first we will win just over £300.00

As for the level-stake singles, I’ll be playing them in the WIN only market, just like the trixie.
